Callaway Scoring System In certain team events where all players do not have an established handicap we must use a Callaway scoring system in order to even the playing field. The Callaway System (or Callaway Scoring System) is a sort of 1-day handicapping method that can be used in events where most of the golfers do not have real handicap indexes. It requires only the gross score the golfer shoots in the event and Golf Genius will calculate using the Callaway scoring system to determine 1-day handicaps and score. The Callaway System might seem complicated but it's not. Just remember: All you're really doing is playing a round of golf, typical stroke play and letting the Golf Genius program do the rest.
